TEHRAN, October 22 - A number of officials from international organizations and foreign countries met Iranian diplomats at Iran’s Foreign Ministry for talks on various issues, including ways to settle the crises in Yemen and Syria.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - In one of the meetings on Sunday, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross Peter Maurer held talks with Iranian foreign minister's special assistant for political affairs, Hossein Jaberi Ansari.
The two officials talked about the latest developments in Syria, the Astana process for Syria peace, the humanitarian situation in Syria’s Idlib, efforts to facilitate the return of Syrian refugees and displaced people, as well as the latest developments in Yemen and the ongoing efforts to resolve the crisis and help delivery of humanitarian aid to Yemenis.
In another meeting, Jaberi Ansari held talks with Director of the Middle East and West Asia Division at the United Nations Susanne Rose oد regional issues and approaches to the settlement of crises in Syria and Yemen by facilitating Syrian-Syrian and Yemeni-Yemeni negotiations.
A separate meeting saw Uzbekistan's envoy for Afghan issues Ismatullah Irgashev, deputy director of Uzbekistan’s Railways, and Iran’s deputy foreign minister for economic diplomacy, Gholamreza Ansari, discussing economic issues.
