TEHRAN, May 2 - Chairman of Iranian Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi condemned recent airstrike on Syria by the US, its allies and Zionist regime, saying Iran would respond to Zionist regime’s aggressive behavior.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) – In a meeting with Iranian and foreign reporters in Damascus, he said, “The US, UK and France launched airstrike on Syria to keep turmoil in the region and create safety for Zionist regime.”
He said the missile attack on Syria by the US and its allies came because they are witnessing sovereignty and military success of Syria over terrorism.
He said the Islamic Republic of Iran condemns US, UK, French and Zionist regime’s frequent strikes on Syria.
The attacks are blatant violation of international rules and regulations, he said.
“Syria is an independent country and a UN member. Any military presence without coordination with Syria is regarded as occupation. The aggressors should leave Syrian soil as soon as possible.”
