Tehran, YJC. Majlis Speaker has said that Iran fully supports the people of Palestine as a political and spiritual act.
"Since it has been decades that the people of Palestine have been under criminal behavior, we know it a must for ourselves to provide them with all sorts of spiritual, political, and military help. But there is not generalization to this issue and support for the oppressed is in a general sense a political and spiritual one in our mode of thought,” asserted the Speaker of the Majlis in a conference on maritime technology in Noshahr.
He added "We believe that there is injustice in the world today and our country has to defend the wronged, a defense which will be both political and spiritual.”
Larijani also said "We are steadfast in this defense. Though, if we see somewhere someone is being wronged in military terms, under certain circumstances we will help them and we will not hide it.”
He provided comments on regional developments and said "This region is a place where much injustice has been done to Muslims and we deem a political support necessary. Generally our support is political and spiritual, but there is support for the oppressed in our doctrine and we are not a neutral country.”
The Speaker of the Majlis added "Islamic honor is a tenet in the Islamic Republic. We must help the Muslim. Defense is a pervasive issue in our country and it is not limited to one section. Once something is regarded as national security all are obliged to defend it.”
