‘US seeks denying Iran's nuclear deal benefits’

TEHRAN, March 2 - Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Gholam-Hossein Dehghani said the US seeks to deprive Iran from benefits of the nuclear deal.

‘US seeks denying Iran nuclear deal benefits’TEHRAN,Young Journalists Club(YJC) - Speaking in a disarmament conference, he said, Iran has completely abided by the agreement over last 2 years, while the US has frequently violated its commitments to the deal through passing policies, negative statements and obstructionism.

“The US is after depriving Iran from benefits of the nuclear deal.”

Iran and the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council – the United States, France, Britain, Russia and China – plus Germany signed the nuclear agreement on July 14, 2015 and started implementing it on January 16, 2016.

Under the JCPOA, Iran undertook to put limitations on its nuclear program in exchange for the removal of nuclear-related sanctions imposed against Tehran.

He also referred to nuclear program of Zionist regime as a ‘threat to regional countries’, saying ownership of nuclear weapons should be regarded as an ‘unethical move’.
