TEHRAN, March 1- A member of Iran-Armenia Chamber of Commerce Leon Aharonia said Armenia is capable of becoming a launch pad for Iran’s exports.
TEHRAN,Young Journalists Club(YJC) - “Armenia is a good launch pad for Iran develop its market and exports especially to Eurasia,” he said.
If Iranian producers carry out part of the production cycle in Armenia, it would be possible to distribute their goods in Eurasia and the EU, he said.
He continued that Armenian traders quite familiar with Eurasian economic union market and Russia could be a complementary for Iranian producers to distribute their goods in Eurasia economic union market.
Aharonia, highlighted special position of Armenia in Eurasia, saying closeness of Armenian and Russian traders could help Iran export goods to most of Western states and Russia.
Armenia has signed import-export agreement with Europe, using which Iran can export goods to target markets in the world, he said, adding the volume of commercial exchanges between Iran and Armenia stands nearly $300-400 million which should increase.
