TEHRAN, January 15 - An Iranian official said that the tactic of scaring the international community of decisions of a mad person is repetitious and ineffective.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) -Secretary of Iranian Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani made the remarks in a meeting with Syrian Parliament Speaker Hammoudeh Sabbagh here in Tehran and following hostile remarks made by US President Donald Trump about making changes in Iran’s 2015 nuclear deal with P5+1.
He said that the remarks are a propaganda smear campaign backed by no one and is in line with Iranophobia policy to prevent Iran from favoring economic interests of the deal.
“The tactic of frightening the international community by decisions of a mad person is repetitious and ineffective and the US administration has been isolated because of unwise decisions and frequent mistakes.”
He further said that might and prudence of the Islamic Republic of Iran to bring into deadlock the West-Arab approach, aiming at destabilizing the region, caused passivity of the other side and his resorting to irrational and hasty actions against Iran.
Hammoudeh Sabbagh, for his part, appreciated Iran’s military advising and human aid support for Syria to battle terrorism.
“The illegal and aggressive presence of the US in Syria to support terrorist elements is against will of Syrian nation and government and no doubt that it will be another quagmire for aggressive army of the country (US).”
