TEHRAN, December 11 - An international cultural and food festival was held at Pakistan’s National Defense University (NDU) in Islamabad with active participation of Iran.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - The festival provided an opportunity to the participating countries to share taste of their respective cultures and food with each other.
The festival was attended by Iran, Saudi Arabia, China, Brazil, Jordan, Libya, Lebanon, Malaysia, Nepal, Nigeria, Oman, Sri Lanka, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, England, Zimbabwe, Germany, Bangladesh and Egypt.
The participating countries tried to attract local visitors from different countries by promoting traditional cuisine, souvenirs, handicrafts and traditional clothing.
The Iranian stall which was organized by the embassy of Iran presented traditional Iranian food and handicrafts in which the visitors took keen interest.
According to the visitors, the cultural festival was a good way to learn about the cultures and traditions of different countries.
