TEHRAN, November 20 - Imports of EU during the first nine months of 2017 from Iran hit €7.25 billion, European Union’s statistics agency Eurostat reported.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - In comparison with the same period in the preceding year, the figure witnessed 107 percent rise, the same report confirmed.
Iran-EU trade from January to September 2017 increased 62 percent from its previous €9.10 billion in 2016 to €14.78 billion in 2017.
Europeans imported €3.49 billion of goods from Iran in the first nine months of 2016 and the value grew up to €7.25 billion in the same period in 2017.
During the said nine months, exports of EU to Iran hit €7.53 billion, boosting 34 percent from the first nine months of 2016, i.e. €5.6 billion.
Iran-EU trade balance from January to September 2017 was €278 million in Europe’s favor.
