Tehran, YJC. Presidential elections were held across the country and as votes are being counted, the Reform candidate Hassan Rouhani is leading.
Hassan Rouhani comes first so far while all previous polls said that Qalibaf
was the most favorite.

What was most interesting was the lively presence of the people at voting stations which was, according to everyone from foreign reporters to pros and
cons, unbelievable. No doubt this round of elections indicated the lively
spirit of the Iranian nation, especially considering the fact that it was
preceded four years ago by much-troublesome elections.
Hassan Rouhani who is the leading candidate so far said regarding the
electoral atmosphere "I would like that the atmosphere would remain logical and
whoever wins, all help him.”
From what results show so far, some informed people and political
specialists expect that the winner will be known by the end of the counting
process and no runoff will be ahead.
Regardless of what group or political party attracts people’s votes,
what is evident is that the elections will be a victory of the Iranian nation’s
will.
