Tehran, YJC. Former Lawmaker says that the Ahmadinejad administration has wasted too many opportunities to be a reasonable choice in the upcoming elections.
Heshmatollah
Falahatpisheh said in interview with Zendegi "It is to regret that the Ahmadinejad
administration made entry into challenging issues on foreign policy to impose
great taxes on the country. The 8 years of the administration manifested a hardly
cooperative foreign policy.”
He
added "Extremisms was one of the prominent features of this administration. The
adoption of unnecessarily extreme positions in contrast to the system’s major
policies ended in the consolidation of the enemies against the country.”
Answering
a question as whether similarities exist between Jalili’s outlooks to
Ahmadinejadian policies, he added "Jalili’s discourse and outlook raises some
concern. His outlook is based on idealistic policies that won’t bear fruit. Unfortunately,
like the 10th administration, he follows foreign policy with a
challenging view, much in contrast to the Islamic Republic of Iran’s notion of détente
as a major principle.”
