TEHRAN, July 17, YJC - A political analyst said Iran’s military capabilities have averted the existing threats against the country amid the West’s efforts to create conflicts in the region.
TEHRAN, Young Journalists Club (YJC) - In a Monday interview, Abdullah Hosseini, a lecturer at Al-Mustafa University, pointed to Iran’s achievements in enhancing its military capabilities, adding, “It is completely logical. The history has proved that if they (nations) have been capable of defending themselves, the amount of the threats from outside were reduced.”
“Because of this capabilities, Tehran has turned into a superpower in the region and because of this no one has managed to ever think about invading Iran. Several times they (the US) have spoken about the war [option] being on the table, but these are just the threats that never materialized and they are not going to be materialized because of the Iranian [military] capabilities,” Hosseini said.
The analyst slammed the US military presence in the Middle East and its interference in the regional countries and noted, “It is not that the Americans want to solve the problems. They are here to create problems, to increase the problems and to bring disunity.”
“The US wants to divide and rule… So the first mission of the US and the Britain and Europe, when they come to the region, is not unification of the countries; it is not the unification of schools of thought; it is not unification of the people and nations; it is to bring differences to create conflict and, as a result, sell their weapons,” Hosseini said.
