Tehran, YJC. FM has said that the act of the Tehran City Council in removing anti-US billboards supports Iran’s foreign policy.
On his
Facebook page, Foreign Minister Mohammadjavad Zarif pointed to the anti-US
billboards which were recently set up across Tehran and then removed by the
City Council, saying "In the past few days we saw much development. There was
much expression of love, both directly and indirectly, to me and to the foreign
policy even in the thoroughfares of the capital! Which of course does not raise
much concern.”
He added
"It makes me feel happy to see people and high-ranking officials support the
foreign policy. In the past two days also I was to see strong affirmations and
support which hearten me and my colleagues. I hope that we will be able with
the support of people and statesmen to take a load off the shoulder of the
country and the people, so that we are not shamed before your kindness.”
